Emotional Intelligence for Personal Leadership
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Emotional Intelligence, at its core, is about emotional self-awareness and using that awareness to build and maintain productive interpersonal relationships for business and life success.
Each of us possesses familiar, conditioned patterns of thought and behavior that we carry forward from past experiences in our lives. We catch ourselves reacting to a spouse, coworker or customer the same way we did a family member or old boss when a familiar situation with a strong emotional “hook” is encountered.
Unfortunately, those “old” patterns of reaction are seldom appropriate for the situation at hand.
The good news is that emotional intelligence can be learned! By increasing your emotional intelligence level you enhance your ability to:

Catch yourself in the early stages of an inexplicably strong emotional reaction to a person or situation |

Consciously decide if your response is appropriate given the reality of the current situation |

Utilize techniques that short-circuit that potentially unproductive emotional reaction |

Make an “emotionally intelligent” decision to think or act in a more productive way that is appropriate for the current situation |
In this 2-day workshop you will gain greater insights into your current thought and behavior patterns, learn more about how others in your life view you, and learn tools and techniques for making more emotionally intelligent decisions that can lead to personal and business success.
